TV Time

Preparing to appear on live TV is a little stressful, but once I get there, sign in at the front desk and chat with the sweet receptionist, get my stuff unloaded, greet the camera crew and hosts, it's a lot of fun! It really is! I get a little worked up pulling it all together, but it's worth it. My daughter gets to my house early so she can do something with my hair to keep it out of my face and she does the best she can do (with what she has to work with) to make me purty. I'm not one that likes a lot of make-up and primping, but I do sit still for her while she works her magic on me.

This Friday, the 22nd, I go back to the studio and show folks how to do a little Springtime/Easter treat or two. I'm not going to spoil it by telling you just yet what I'll be doing. You'll just have to watch and see for yourself, no hints here. Sorry. I know, I'm mean. Tune in to ABC 33/40 Talk of Alabama beginning at 9 AM. It's an hour long show, so stay with it until 10. The cooking segments are highlighted 2-3 times during the show, including at the end (if there's enough air time left).

The hosts have all been super nice. I've met some of the other station crew as well. Everyone is helpful and kind. It's the best of experiences with what I'm asked to do. And, they love gobbling up the goodies I take for them. Free advertising for me. Free food for them. We all win.

Here are some pictures from the three other times I've been on Talk of Alabama.

Ebony, Me, and Nicole - January 23, 2012 - White and Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies (center)

This was the most fun day ever! The station crew, and other guests on the show, got cookies and milk from Darlene's [temporary] Kitchen. The picture is a little grainy, but you can get the idea anyway :)

That's all for now, folks! You got lots of recipes/tips this time. Just follow the links. Remember to eat something homemade tonight!
